Artist Statement
I am a sculptor that strives to make objects of beauty and contemplation that reflect the impact and deterioration of time. From creatures that never existed, to the remnants of an imagined world: I strive to manipulate the metal to form objects that I want to see come into being. Gaining the ability to sculpt such a rigid and cold material into a piece with its own elastic language has become both a challenge and an obsession. I find that the pairing of the soft forms with traditionally crafted ironwork is a very intriguing combination. I try to balance these two styles so that the resulting piece becomes stronger as a whole.
Having worked with metal for over 13 years now my portfolio includes sculptural objects, several production lines, custom commissions, and large scale outdoor installations.
